Seasoning saves the meal!
While it is true that even the best seasoning may not save a badly prepared meal, it is certainly also true that having a variety of seasonings on hand can make even the most mundane fare vastly more palatable.
When stocking your pantry with shelf-stable items, do not neglect to add the items below over time. A few will age faster than others, so be certain to keep track and rotate them into your kitchen well before their flavor degrades, and replace the items you use based on your shopping plan. The added benefit is you will rarely be out of any of the items below, often saving unnecessary trips to the grocery and possibly lowering your shopping costs because you can plan these staple purchases over time.
